Silicone emulsifier is a kind of mixture which helps two or more opposite compositions be dissolved to form stable emulsion. It is based on silicone polyether structure, generally known as PEG/PPG-X/Y dimethicone. Compared to some organic w/o emulsifiers, silicone emulsifiers are typically transparent to translucent liquid and do not require waxes for emulsion stabilization.
SiSiB Silicones offer silicone emulsifier with the rake silicone polyether, in which polyether segments are attached to the silicone backbone. With this structure, alkyl chains can also be added to increase compatibility with organic oils, for example, PEG-10 Dimethicone (SiSiB® PC19592), Cyclopentasiloxane (and) PEG/ PPG-18/18 Dimethicone (SiSiB® PC19587), Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone (SiSiB® PC19590), Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone (SiSiB® PC19591).
Silicone emulsifier is used in a wide range of silicone personal care applications such as color cosmetics, skin care, sun care and antiperspirants and deodorants.
It has many benefits: excellent W/Si and W/O emulsibility, easy to emulsify and low operating temperature, silky and non-sticky skin feel, good emulsibility for silicone oil and non-silicone oil, non-ionic for increased compatibility, excellent dispersing ability for powder materials, effective at very low concentrations and high compatibility with other ingredients.
