Introduction

SiSiB® WR1291 is a silicone-based solvent-type stone material protective agent.

Dilute solutions of SiSiB® WR1291 in solvents may be widely used for surface protection treatment of cement concrete, various natural stones, artificial stones, wood, and others such as bricks, tiles, paint, and coatings.

Dilution: SiSiB® WR1291 is suggested to be diluted to 5-10% solution.

Applications

SiSiB® WR1291 is suitable for waterproofing a variety of substrates, whether alkaline or neutral, and it cures into a hydrophobic film at room temperature; moreover, it is non-sticky after curing.

SiSiB® WR1291 has good penetration depth due to its small molecular weight.

Processing

Suggested solvent:

Aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g. White Spirit 130/175),

Aromatic hydrocarbons (solvent naphtha)

Or low-odor isoparaffin hydrocarbons.

Stir vigorously when adding the diluent to SiSiB® WR1291. As SiSiB® WR1291 reacts with humidity, the containers must be hermetically sealed.

The substrate must clean and not have damp spots. The required quantity depends on the absorbency of the substrate. The amount of impregnating agent required should be determined on site by testing a small area of the material to be treated.

Apply diluted solution to the substrate by brush or spray. Apply the next when the substrate has absorbed the previous ones (wet on wet). Generally, at least two applications suffice for all substrates.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® WR1291 is supplied in 25Kg and 180Kg drum.

In the unopened original container SiSiB® WR1291 has a shelf life of 2 year in a dry and cool place.
