Silicone-HDPE Masterbatch

SiSiB® MB4050 is a pelletized formulation with 50% ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in HDPE. It is designed to be used as additive in resin compatible systems to improve processing and modify surface characteristics.

Application


  • SiSiB® MB4050 silicone masterbatch can be used in silicone core pipe / optic fiber duct / PLB HDPE pipe.


  • SiSiB® MB4050 high density polyethylene can be used in large diameter pipe.


  • SiSiB® MB4050 can be used in packaging boxes, bottles to improve the surface smoothness.


  • SiSiB® MB4050 can be used in PE plastic sheets.


  • Used methods:

    SiSiB® MB4050 can be mixed with its compatible silicone resin at a certain proportion then molding or pelleting directly.


  • Recommend dosage:

    When added at 0.5% to 2%, it improved processing and flow of the resin, including better silicone molding filling, less extruder torque, internal lubrication, mold release and faster throughput..

    When added at higher levels, it improved surface properties, including lubricity, slip, lower COF, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance.
