ADDSiL™ 8900 is a foam-releasing and antifoaming agent designed for thick film epoxy floor coatings and high-build systems. It is suitable for solvent-free and solvent-borne epoxy coatings, as well as silk screen inks. It is similar to Airex-900 and Elementis-6800.
ADDSiL™ 8900 is a foam-releasing and antifoaming agent particularly for thick film epoxy floor coatings and other high-build systems. It is an organo-modified polysiloxane, contains hydrophobic fumed silica.
ADDSiL™ 8900 can be used in solvent-free and solvent-borne epoxy floor coatings and high-build coating systems. It is also suitable in silk screen ink.

ADDSiL™ 8900 can prevent foaming caused by mechanical forces during mixing, production and application in high solids solvent-borne and solvent-free systems.
ADDSiL™ 8900 has excellent anti-foaming properties in high viscosity and high-build applications, especially in epoxy flooring coatings.
ADDSiL™ 8900 is a very efficient defoamer.
Epoxy floor coatings.
Unsaturated polyester paint.
Silk screen ink.
UV ink.
The recommended dosage is 0.05~1.0% of the total formulations.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Incorporate ADDSiL™ 8900 before grinding or processing to achieve the optimum effect. When post-addition is necessary, it is recommended to incorporate ADDSiL™ 8900 with sufficient mixing.
Due to its high active content, ADDSiL™ 8900 can be prediluted to a 10% suspension with an aromatic solvent. This can allow easier incorporation. Such solutions have only limited storage stability as the hydrophobic silica will tend to settle out.
ADDSiL™ 8900 exhibits thixotropic properties. Its viscosity may increase during storage. This is normal and it is advisable to stir well before use.
ADDSiL™ 8900 is supplied in 25Kg / 200Kg plastic drum or steel drum or according to customer’s request.
