SiSiB® PC5132 is an alkylalkoxysilane. It is a clear, colorless liquid with an odor characteristic of alcohols. SiSiB® PC5132 hydrolyzes slowly in the presence of moisture to form reactive silanols. These react further to produce oligosiloxanes and then polysiloxanes.
This alkyl alkoxy silane is the equivalent of Momentive's A-162, Dow's Z-6370, Wacker's M1-TRIETHOXY, Evonik's Dynasylan MTES, ShinEtsu's KBE-13.

SiSiB® PC5132 may be used as an important component for sol-gel coating, silicone resins and silicone rubber.
SiSiB® PC5132 is practically insoluble in neutral water and reacts only slowly to form silanols and higher condensation products. Addition of a hydrolytic catalyst (inorganic/organic acids, ammonia or amines) accelerates the hydrolysis of SiSiB® PC5132 Methyltriethoxysilane substantially.
SiSiB® PC5132 organo silanes may be used as water repellent to improve fillers dispersibility and reduces their sedimentation tendency.
SiSiB® PC5132 methyltriethoxysilane, MTES silane, is highly miscible with standard organic solvents, such as alcohols, hydrocarbons and acetone.
