Applications

SiSiB® PB2004 can be used as anti-skinning agent for oil-based paint, alkyd paint and epoxy paint. It acts as an antioxidant against oxidative drying materials which forms sticky skin with air oxygen. Another effect of anti-skinning favors drying time delay which can be used in formulating paints.

SiSiB® PB2004 is also used as a chemical intermediate, like novel silane crosslinkers for sealants.

SiSiB® PB2004 is an excellent corrosion inhibitor (deoxidant) with lower toxicity and greater stability compared to the common agent hydrazine. It is also useful in the determination of ketones, cobalt and in organic synthesis.
