ADDSiL™ 8310 is a solution of polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane that reduces surface tension in coating systems and improves substrate wetting. It is suitable for solvent-borne and UV-curing systems. It is similar to Levaslip 872 and BYK-310.
ADDSiL™ 8310 is solution of a polyether modified polydimethylsiloxane.

Reduced surface tension of coating systems.
Improved substrate wetting.
Avoids cratering.
Increased surface slip and gloss.
Thermostable, can be used for baking system.
Good recoating and no loss in in adhesion.
Solvent based
UV Curing
ADDSiL™ 8310 is silicone-based surface additive for solvent-borne and UV curing system. It can provide strong reduction of the surface tension of coating systems. It therefore particularly improves substrate wetting and avoids cratering. Surface slip and gloss are also increased.
ADDSiL™ 8310 is a thermostable silicone additive which, in contrast to conventional silicones, shows no thermal decomposition at high temperature.
The recommended dosage is 0.1~0.5% of the total formulations.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
The additive can be incorporated during any stage of the production process, including post-addition.
ADDSiL™ 8310 is supplied in 20Kg / 180Kg plastic drum or steel drum or according to customer’s request.
Separation or turbidity may occur at temperatures below 5°C. Warm to 20°C and mix well.
