Silicone PET Masterbatch

SiSiB® MB8040 is an ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in PET. It is designed to be used as additive in resin compatible systems to improve processing and modify surface characteristics.

Application


  • SiSiB® MB8040 is widely used in BOPET film, PET sheets, PET fiber, etc.


  • SiSiB® MB8040 is used to improve processing and flow of resin, provide better mold release: reduce mar and abrasion of equipment, better silicone molding filling, reduce non-confirming rate of products.


  • SiSiB® MB8040 is used to lower Coefficient of Friction (COF), improve slip property and surface gloss, enhance silk hand feeling of surface, abrasion and scratch resistance.


  • SiSiB® MB8040 greatly improves fire-resistant heat proof silicone property, lower smoke density, higher impact strength and surface gloss of mineral filled fire-resistant thermoplastics.


  • SiSiB® MB8040 enhanced stability and non-migration, no bleeding.


  • SiSiB® MB8040 should be mixed with compatible silicone resins at a certain amount, for injection molding or extrusion into pellets.


  • At dosage of 0.5- 2%, processing, flow and mold releasing properties are improved;


  • At dosage of 1.0-5.0%, surface properties (lubricity, slip, gloss, mar and abrasion resistance) are enhanced. Dosages between 2-5% can decrease the abrasion loss by 30-80%.
