
POWSIL™-54101 is a silicone softener designed to deliver a cool, soft, and silky feel to fabrics. It imparts hydrophilic properties to various textiles, remains stable during finishing without causing oil spots, and is compatible with other finishing agents, like anti-wrinkle treatments.
POWSIL-54101 is specially designed to provide cool touch feel and soft & silky touch to various fabric. It contains revolutionary & new generation of silicone molecules that deliver a soft, voluminous and silky hand feel to various fabrics. In addition, it provides hydrophilic property to most types of textile fabrics. It is very stable in textile finish process without causing oil-spots on fabric. And it is also comparable with other finishing agents, specially can be applied in same bath with wrinkle free finishing system and binders.

POWSIL-54101 can be used as received or pre-diluted with water before applying. The optimum treatments such as dosages, are dependent on the required softness of the fabric and yarn after dyeing and finishing.
POWSIL-54101 can be diluted to any grades with water. To achieve the desired product of dilution, it is advised to first mix POWSIL-54101 and water in 1:1 ratio and then start to stir. Thereafter, add the rest of water required to achieve the final dilution and continue to stir. A clear microemulsion should be obtained.

Stripping:
POWSIL-54101 can be stripped off fabric. The stripping formulation is as follows:
NaOH: | 5g/L |
LABS (30%): | 2-5% |
Add water and NaOH onto fabric tank and then heat to 100 ºC for 60 min. Then rinse fabric with acidic water and water.
To ensure the product quality is maintained, the product should not be exposed to too hot or too cold condition. The product is sensitive to temperature below -10°C and above 60°C. When it is separated, stir the contents. or add 2-5% of 20% acetic acid aqueous solution and stir for 30 min. If the product is frozen, thaw it at warm condition and stir after thawed. The container should be tightly sealed when not in use.
In the unopened original container POWSIL-54101 has a shelf life of 12 months in a dry and cool place.
POWSIL-54101 is packaged in net weight 120Kg plastic drum or 1000Kg IBC.
