Silicone PET Masterbatch

SiSiB® MB8030 is an ultra-high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in PET. It is designed to be used as additive in resin compatible systems to improve processing and modify surface characteristics.

Application


  • At small dosages of 0.3-2%, MB8030 improves flow and processing of PET, provides better silicone molding filling and release, as well as reduces extruder torque;


  • At use level of 1-5%, MB8030 imparts better surface property, including better hand feeling, lower Coefficient of Friction (COF), better anti-abrasion and anti-scratch ability. Besides, it helps to reduce surface tension, improve hydrophobic and anti-sticky properties.


  • In BOPET film, MB8030 imparts good hand feeling, high temp silicone smoothness, and no bleeding.


  • In PET sheets, MB8030 modifies processing property and surface, with better anti-abrasion and anti-scratch ability. And it also improves anti-adhesion property.


  • In fiber-drawing industry, MB8030 improves appearance and hand feeling of silk fiber, reduces breakage, enhances abrasion resistance, decreases surface tension, higher hydrophobic property.


  • In PET injection products, MB8030 improves flow of resin, betters slip hand feeling, enhances abrasion and scratch resistance. It effectively increases rate of finished products, improves surface appearance.


  • SiSiB® MB8030 should be mixed with PET silicone resins, dried at 110-150°C condition, then extruded into pellets.


  • Dry MB8030 can also be mixed with dry PET for injection molding or extrusion into pellets.


Packing and Storage



  • SiSiB® MB8030 is supplied in 25Kg craft paper bag.
