Introduction

SiSiB® SF0202 is an alkyl-aryl functional silicone fluid of medium viscosity whose special chemical structure imbues it with the benefits of silicone fluids and mineral oils.

SiSiB® SF0202 is used for thermal molding of rubber, plastics and low-melting nonferrous metals. It is superior to conventional silicone fluids when the finished parts are subsequently to be painted, printed, coated or bonded. An outstanding release effect is even obtained when extremely small amounts of the release agent are used. The result is an easy, accurate reproduction of every surface detail of the molded article. SiSiB® SF0202 exhibits excellent film forming properties.

Applications

SiSiB® SF0202 can be used as release agent in the production of floor mats and tiles, seals, grommets, gaskets, toys, paneling, decorative trim, household appliance assemblies and similar plastic and rubber products that are coated, painted, plated or bonded.

SiSiB® SF0202 can be used as parting agent in die casting of aluminum, zinc, magnesium and other metals.

SiSiB® SF0202 can be formulated into automotive polish products for use in garages and body shops where polydimethylsiloxanes could give rise to re-coatablity problems.

When added as a built-in lubricant the fluid can facilitate the assembly of mechanical components and can act as a lubricant in service.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® SF0202 is supplied in 20Kg plastic pail or 180Kg steel drum.

When stored at ambient temperature in the original unopened packing, SiSiB® SF0202 has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production.
