Alkoxy-Functionalized Silicone Polymers

SiSiB® PF1073 polymer are ready-for-processing silicone polymers for producing neutral condensation-curing silicone sealing compounds. 


SiSiB® PF1073 with silicone polymer structure is moisture-curable after adding a suitable catalyst. During the curing process methanol is released. As methanol is non-corrosive, sealing compounds based on Alkoxy-Functionalized Silicone Polymers can also be used on sensitive or corrodible substrates such as metals and/or marble.

Application


  • SiSiB® PF1073 can be formulated with the typical additives for condensation-type silicones (tin catalysts, silane adhesion promoters, silane crosslinking agents, plasticizers and fumed silica etc.). The amount of methoxy silane crosslinkers can be reduced to a great extent in this process as the polymer already carries the corresponding methoxy silane groups.


Packing and Storage


  • SiSiB® PF1073 OM polymer is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.


  • In the original unopened packaging, SiSiB® PF1073 polymer has a shelf life of 18 months in a dry and cool place.
