ADDSiL™ 2006 is a hydroxyl-terminated polyether-modified polysiloxane with highly reactive -CH₂OH terminal groups, offering superior reactivity to Si-OH functional silicone oils. By reacting with isocyanate, it enhances polyurethane flexibility, water resistance, slipperiness, and weather resistance. It is similar to Momentive-2812.
ADDSiL™ 2006 is a hydroxyl-terminated polyether-modified polysiloxane compound. It has a highly reactive hydroxymethyl terminal functional group -CH2OH, and its reactivity is much higher than that of ordinary hydroxyl silicone oils with Si-OH as the reactive functional group.
Through its reaction with isocyanate, silicone components can be introduced into polyurethane materials, thereby improving the flexibility, water resistance, slipperiness, weather resistance and other properties of polyurethane materials.

Carbinol-functional polydimethylsiloxane ADDSiL™ 2006 can reduce surface tension, improve the wettability of release paper and substrates, and improve the leveling and anti-crater and pinhole properties of the resin.
ADDSiL™ 2006 can react to form polyurethanes, epoxies, polyesters, and phenolic resins.
ADDSiL™ 2006 can be used as additives in polyurethane leather finishes and reactive internal lubricants in melt spinning of polyester fibers. It can increase softness and provide smooth surface and smooth feel to PU synthetic leather.
ADDSiL™ 2006 are also used as surfactants and processing aids to disperse particles in silicone formulations.
The amount of addition depends on different requirements, 0.2-1% for hand feel improvement, 2-6% for anti-stick stains, and 1-6% for resin modification. It can be added at any stage of production and is suitable for water-based and oil-based systems.
ADDSiL™ 2006 is supplied in net weight 25Kg metal pail.
