SiSiB® WR5132 is poly(methylethoxy)siloxanes, ethoxy terminated. It is a clear colorless liquid.

Applications

SiSiB® WR5132 is highly miscible with standard organic solvents, such as alcohols, hydrocarbons and acetone.

SiSiB® WR5132 is practically insoluble in neutral water and reacts only slowly to form silanols and higher condensation products. Addition of a hydrolytic catalyst (inorganic/organic acids, ammonia or amines) accelerates the hydrolysis of SiSiB® WR5132 substantially.

SiSiB® WR5132 may be used as water repellent to improve fillers dispersibility and reduces their sedimentation tendency.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® WR5132 is supplied in 190Kg steel drum.

In the unopened original container SiSiB® WR5132 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
