PowerCat™ DBTDA

PowerCat™ DBTDA is a clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid. It is insoluble in water and soluble in most organic solvents.


PowerCat™ DBTDA catalyst is a versatile catalyst that can be used in transesterification reactions, silanol condensation reactions, and urethane cross-linking reactions. PowerCat™ DBTDA catalyst is incorporated into the final product and does not require removal. It is a silicone fluid catalyst for ease of processing, and can be used at temperatures up to 250°C provided care is taken to minimize the presence of moisture.

Applications


  • PowerCat™ DBTDA catalyst is used in silanol condensation reactions for caulk and all purpose adhesive sealant applications and in the production of blocked isocyanates for urethane coatings that are used in the automotive OEM market.


  • PowerCat™ DBTDA is also used to cross-link urethane coating systems for both the automotive and industrial silicone coatings markets, and is used in the transesterification of esters for the antioxidant and synthetic lubricant markets.


Packing and Storage


  • PowerNox™ DBTDA is supplied in 20Kg pails and 200Kg drums.
