SiSiB Silanes for Foundry Resins

SiSiB organofucntional silanes are used to achieve the sufficient mechanical strength at the relatively low content of binder. SiSiB SILANES can improve the mechanical and processing strength, increase the resin storage stability and improve the production efficiency. 

SiSiB silane coupling agents possess reactive organic groups and hydrolyzable inorganic alkoxysilyl groups. The inorganic group will hydrolyze to produce silanol, which forms a metal hydroxide or siloxane bond with the sand. The organic group will react with the resin to produce a covalent bond. The dual nature of its reactivity allows it to bind chemically to both sand and resin, thus functioning as an adhesion promoter.

SiSiB RTV-2 Silicones for Mold Making

Silicone has become one of the preferred materials for creating lost-wax casting models because it is versatile, water and chemical resistant, easy to use and capable of reproducing the finest details of the original. 

SiSiB manufactures a full range of two-part, room-temperature curing silicone rubbers that offer great flexibility, tear strength, chemical resistance, and release properties. Silicone molds can be used to cast a variety of materials, including polyurethane, polyester and epoxy resins, polyurethane foam, plaster, wax, concrete, and low melting metals etc. SiSiB offers both condensation cure silicone rubber and addition curing type RTV-2. 

Addition curing materials rely on temperature exposure to facilitate the curing process. They are used for a wide range of applications as rapid prototyping and precision molding. Addition curing products produces no byproducts. These addition cure products offer tear strength, tensile strength, and elongation properties that help provide dimensional stability while contributing to durability and handling of the mold.

Condensation cure molding making silicones by SiSiB, which cure in reaction to exposure to atmospheric moisture, are used for art reproduction, craft, figurines and furniture.
